The possibilities are endless when it comes to POP displays. This is your opportunity to close a sale with a potential customer. They may be considering your item, but that supporting POP signage and/or display, could make all the difference. Customers are so much more knowledgeable these days. With the ability to search the internet for information on just about anything they want. However, when they are in the store, looking at something they haven’t necessarily considered, you want to do all you can to have them walk away from your display with that product in their hands.
What makes a great POP display design?
Know your audience! Keep the message geared to that specific group your trying to reach. Keep in mind that you only have seconds to entice the customer as they walk by and first impressions are king when it comes to your displays. A point of sale display could have anything ranging from simple graphics to interactive monitors. Whatever you choose to do, the end goal is to see that customer take the item with them.
Things to consider when designing a POP display?
Placement in the store is important. You want it placed in the best spot to get the most attention by the customer. What are you selling? Do you want simple graphics or maybe a touch screen display? Is this on an endcap, in-line, a pod in the middle of a walkway, or at the checkout? Is this a new product launch, or a clearance item? How long do you plan to keep this display in place?
What to look for in a POP display designer?
You want to work with a company that understands how POP Displays work within the retail environment. Pratt Visual Solutions has years of experience designing and implementing POP displays. We don’t just think about the product you are selling. We consider the location within the store, how it ties in with the surrounding environment, how it catches the customers eye, and what the message is you are trying to convey.
What else can Pratt do to help you reach your POP Display goals?
Depending on the scale and scope of your project, Pratt can help you from beginning to end. We have a nation-wide network of installers. If your project is beyond the install capabilities of your store staff, we can work with you to implement the finished product. If you will work with your store associates to install the package, we can help you develop detailed documentation to ensure the project goes smoothly. We have years of Project Management experience and can help guide you through the entire process.
A great example of how Pratt worked with a customer to develop a unique POP Display was a project that partnered us with Lowe’s Canada. They have an entire aisle of light bulbs, which can be overwhelming if you aren’t sure what you are looking for. We created an interactive display using an iPad, 32” monitor, and accompanying graphics to help make the process of finding the proper bulb super simple and engaging. The display even integrated a recycling station for old bulbs. This project was featured in Visual Merchandising and Store Design Magazine.
